One of the projects we were assigned was to create a visual plan for a boutique in Paris. We could choose any brand we wanted to, and had to draw perspectives of the store to convey our look. As I am not an artist, this was a challenge for me but it was also fun! All of our stores turned out so different even though we all started with the same space.
It was a different way of conceptualizing a store than we had done in class with the CAD program. It was almost a “back to the basics” kind of project, without using the technology to build the store but rather sketching it out. I chose Dior for my project, so my mood board consisted of rose gold, grey marble, chandeliers, and pink roses. My store was very feminine and glamorous, and included a rose gold replica of the Louvre as a shoe display. Really, the sky was the limit.
